They might have noticed that Leica was posing the question "How revolutionary should your cameras be?" and that a number of famous photographs were included such as David Duncan"s (?) Vietnamese "execution", Robert Capa's famous shot from the Spanish Civil War and what I believe is a picture of Mother Theresa by Mary Ellen Mark.
