Dan it sounds like you think it doesn't matter what hammer or pot you use!
I'm very much into both hammers and pots! I went through a half a dozen hammers
before I fond the "right" one and some are very beautiful and for special
purposes. Make that 10. 
My pots are Magnalite which are similar to Calaphon and made the Fettuccine
Alfredo I had last night taste great! You saying the tools don't count but you
shoot with Leica?
