BOB DAVIS CAMERA, La Jolla, CA. is the ONLY Leica shop in
San Diego County, believe it or not. They are open Mon-Sat, 9-5.
They usually have a very good used R selection, but a very poor used
M selection. Prices are nothing special, but not overpriced, usually
they have the SAME prices as B&H on lenses and bodies. If you
want an R body, they usually only have R4, R6.2, and R7 used.
Used M stuff is RARE at Bob Davis.....it gets picked up usually
the day after it is consigned. John Dempsey, the Leica wizard,
used to work there (top Leica salesman in CA for 1998, thanks
in part to annual purchases of $25K by yours truly, and a one-day
$60K Leica shopping spree by the COO of Kenworth), but left a
few months ago. Now the best guy to talk to, that knows anything
about Leica at all, is Bill the store manager. Everyone else there now
is a Leica numbskull.

I emailed you privately about meeting for lunch and about some places
to stay, etc. Eric. Hey if things get real tough, you can camp out at
my place....of course I should probably get that approved with she
who must be obeyed.
