With the price of a good, clean M6 now in the $1200-1300 range I would 
personally go that route to have the convenience of the built-in meter.  
Given your predominant use of the 35 lens I would definitely not get the .85, 
certainly if you wear glasses but even if you don't, as the 35 frameline is 
difficult if not impossible to see with one glance.  If you contemplate 
shooting with both bodies loaded with different film, you might want to 
consider getting the second body in the other color (black or silver) from 
your 1st body for easy recognition.
