Have you given any thought to Fuji Neopan 400.   I love both it and its 
'brother' Neopan 1600 which i have processed in a variety of brews inc. Xtol. 
  The Xtol was very good as a dev but I went off it when some went bad on me 
and I ended up with a blank film.   Since then I have used Paterson Aculux 
which I really like (sorry, not available in the US) but I am currently 
trying Ilford DD-X.   I have used it for one film and it looks promising.
