Subject: [Leica] Digital Cameras....

I offer the following thought for discussion: There is no need for a
shutter in a digital camera. There is no need for a LCD VF in a digital
camera. It is possible that you could make the worlds' first digital camera
with interchangeable lens mounts, and SLR ( or RF) viewing. Cost would be
low, as the camera is really a shell with virtually no moving parts (mirror
in an SLR, RF in a RF camera). Lens mounts could screw into the front,
allowing use of Leica RF and SLR glass, Nikon glass, or Ukranian glass.

Electronic guts would be reasonably priced, by Leica standards downright
low.

Food for thought.... would you want a digital camera whereby any brands of
camera lenses could be accomodated?
Ditto a traditional film camera?
