Doug,

I completely agree with your post. Another funny explanation for the titles is:

BS = just what you think (common American expression)
MS = More of the Same
PhD = Piled Higher and Deeper

I have one of each plus an MBA but would not dream of using the abbreviations
anywhere besides on my CV.
