Recently, there was talk here about focusing distance of the M3 and newer 
lenses that focus closer than 1 meter.

I understand that the M3 only focuses to 1 meter without regard to the 
lens attached.

Can the M3 be modified to focus closer so that the close focusing ability 
of the new lenses can be utilized?
