You should use about 0.05 g of amidol per 500 mL of working strength developer. I mix it up as follows: 500 mL of water, then 5 mL Part A PMK, then 10 mL Part B, mixing thoroughly after adding each, then I add a "pinch" of amidol, mix, and start developing right away. I have gotten so used to scooping out the amidol on a scoopula that I can estimate 0.05 g pretty closely, at least closely enough for my purposes. For better control, you should use an accurate balance to mass it out, but I couldn't be bothered because if I get it fairly close that's OK with me. _ [o] -GH
