Russian lenses can be tricky.....
I had a black 20mmRussar that would not screw into my Black leicaIII, BUT
it would screw onto my zorki & various adapters.

Then I got a chrome 20mmRussar that worked on everything....but it kept
catching on the focusing arm inside my chrome zorki. Leica focusing wheels
are round but the zorki's was pointed & kept catching a recess in the lens.
