No controversy, you just can't easily mount DR's on early M6's that lack the 
shroud cut-outs. Please search archives for info.

Also beware that two DR vesrions exist: 19" vs 20".

Finally, the optical unit/mount fitting is more of an issue with summarits 
and earlier than with 'crons and later. (tolernaces, mating, etc as a 
functional piece, versus sub-assembly & componentization.)
