I thought I saw this phenomenon on my M4 - it turned out it was an optical illusion caused by the depth of the chrome top-plate being different on each side of the lens. This makes it look as though the shade is canted, when in fact (relative to the bottom plate) it's not. Check for possible sources of this illusion, and also set the camera on a flat surface like a table and measure the distance from the table to the lower edge of the shade. If it's in fact angled, either take it in to an independent camera repair center for an opinion, or send it to a Leica repair facility. Paul
