Dick;

This lens is in my bag every day...on an R6.2 body. Its been everywhere
with me, and is without question superior to the earlier 28R. It is a huge
improvement at all distances especially the very closest range, it has a
floating element (I believe) which supports this performance. Its an
oustanding lens, fabulous wide open...and a lens that I have come to love
and would be lost without.

My only complaint is that the built in shade does not stay in the "out"
position so I have wrapped Dymo label tape around the shade holding it
permanently in the extended position...oh, the tape is black.

Luggers,

At one time I had a 24/2.8-R which I liked quite well. Although I may get
another, I have started looking at the 28. What experiences with the
newest version, E55, 28/2.8-R????

Thanks,
