Aperture is NOT a photography magazine in the classic sense. It is a serious
of monographs about the works of various photographers and schools of
photography. Some issues are fabulous, some are ridiculous - IMHO. Look at
each issue on the newsstand - or in a book store - and then decide. It can
be pretty damn esoteric. And it can also be sublime.
