Subject: Re: [Leica] speaking of...battery problem?

Speaking of battery problems... I read somewhere on the web that the meter
on the M6 may be inaccurate when batteries are not fresh. On my last 2
rolls, my exposures have been not so consistant. I know it's a poor
musician who blames his instruments, but could this be so?

It may be worth mentioning that I generally underexpose by setting iso at
1/3 stop faster than the film I am using, and develop at +5%. This gives me
the tone I desire when printed with a cold light on Agfa Fibre, especially
with Tri-x. I have, however, achieved more uniform results in the past
using the same M6 with new batteries. In the very near future I will spend
the extra few dollars and pick up fresh batteries and a backups, making this
a non-issue for me. However, I am curious.

Any suggestions or experiences confirming my curiousity?

Thanks,
Paul Klingaman
