I have used every variant of the Contax from the I to the IIIa, and all the
Kievs as well.  Nice cameras.

The best choice is probably a Prewar II, as repairs and parts for these are
readily obtained and as the viewfinder is magnificent.  The Postwar models
have slightly less satisfactory VF's and are a bit more difficult, but not
much, to get repaired.

All Contaxes are rugged and well designed cameras capable of great work.
