Call anywhere, anytime even 300 feet underground, and get a signal? Actually- an extreme blowup is and was possible with a Leica! I will forever be impressed with a shot of the town of Wetzlar that a friend took. He used a Leica M2 and with a tripod, and using TechPan- photographed the town from a high spot. He had the 20x30 inch enlargement in his store- almost totally grain free, and the lens actually resolved the telephone lines in the town, and facial features on people that had to be almost a kilometer away! I guess if Leitz had made an 8x10 camera- "Blowup" would not have been such a fanciful trip!
