Hi,
In reference to the questions on the 24 mm Leica finder, I have not
seen the other finders mentioned, but I can say that despite the
incredibly high price tag and the disappointing metal housing, the
finder is optically a joy for me to use. The image is very bright and,
for an eyeglass wearer, a pleasure compared with trying to see the 35 mm
( I also have a 35 mm lens) framelines in the normal finder. In fact, I
have been tempted to find a 35 mm finder to use with my 35 mm Summicron.

As a long time user of Nikon SLR equipment (now a dual Leica/Nikon
user), I find the viewfinder blockage and the 35 mm frameline viewing
difficulty the most bothersome aspect of using the Leica (I wear
glasses). Otherwise, I have thoroughly enjoyed it. BTW, the 24 mm lens,
while also incredibly expensive, has been a great lens to use for travel
and landscapes. I recently took it on a trip to Italy, and it was
fantastic for indoor, hand held shots of churches and museums, and for
capturing the feeling of open city spaces such as piazzas. In
particular, combining close in subjects with distant city views is a
natural for this lens.
