The only country I ever got robbed, was in Italy. (and there only in the big

Not only once, but 3 times. Two times my car and contents, once my wife's
hand bag.

The hand bag was ripped from her from a passing pillion passenger on a motor
scooter.
If she had not let go, she would have been dragged along with it.

In a previous message, someone mentioned a camera bag with a steel rope
inside.
Don't use it in Rome!! They nick it from you on passing and drag you along,
if its to securely attached.. Its not worth it. The best way to visit Rome
is in the nude. Nobody can steel anything from you then. (I think).
