Gilles-
Tell your friend that the IIIf is a marvelous camera, and that we would
welcome him to the group! It will be well worth the effort to get it
fixed... I will let Nathan Wasjman, our LUGger Belgique, to tell you if he
has info on a Belgian repair place.
I have never gotten an LTM that didn't need a cleaning, lubrication, and
adjust, since most have suffered from neglect and non-use. So, when the
curtains are fixed/replaced- your friend should get it all done at one time
while the camera is disassembled. It'll make for a lot of peace of mind!
Once that is taken care of, and with a little care, and use, the camera will
be good to go for another 20 years or so!

Also- don't worry about your English- it's better than some of us for whom
English is a first language! It is certainly better than my Flemish,
Walloon ( are these still spoken at all?), French or Dutch!!

Dan :o}~
