LUGs

A couple of months ago I posted a note about a pair of owls visiting
the trees around my back yard and expressed the hope to be able to
photograph them.

Well, last night the pair returned with their two young! And they
were actually in the back yard - on the feeders, on the fence, on the
clothes line, and in the labrador's plastic pool. Tonight I was ready
with my living room window as my blind - tripod mounted R8, 80-200/4
and 280/4.8 with viso-R adapter, Metz 40MZ2 flash and a sample roll
of Ektachrome 100. Fortunately the birds cooperated, and the initial
inspection of the wet film shows that the R8/40MZ2 TTL combination
can deliver the goods.

Lordy - what an experience.
