Subject: [Leica] Special issue cameras minimum order question

Hi
I was wondering.
What's the minimum
quantity order for a modified or special model
that leitz will process
for a given customer? If it's not too
high perhaps we could get enough
buyers together to have one commisioned.

I've always felt that they should have taken the R6 one
step further and produced a compleatly
meterless body! Think of how uncluttered
the thing would look without the mode/meter
selector lever or the self timer switch.
Because it's not required for insulation
the plastic shutter speed dial could be replaced
with a nicely machined, taller metal one (black or chrome)
and an ASA reminder dial would be all that's needed on the
other side. Just a basic super clean camera!
In fact, it would require new top and bottom plates new dials
and not much else.
Is anybody interested?
Does anybody know how to do this or how much it
might cost per camera?
Javier
