There are two other pro photographers I know who also own and
occasionally use the 90mm leaf shutter Pentax 67 lens and all of us keep
an instruction book handy to read before each attempt to use. There is
no way to decern any difference between using it with or w/o engaging
the LS except by a mysteriously marked switch, but set it wrong and
enjoy frame after frame of blanks. Trust me, it happens. But at least
they learn--the newer 165 LS is a breeze and pretty hard to screw up.
