Bernard:

The new 19 is better all the way around.  The difference is most
noticable in contrast and color.  Pictures from the old 19 look "washed
out" in comparison.  Pictures from the new 19 have more "snap."  Also, I
think defintion is better, particularly towards the edges, although I
have not done any scientific testing.  The new 19 also has the neat
built in filters.
