But who'd buy the M-camera, once you leveled the playing field by making
the OM a prestigious Leica product? The OM is *tiny*. I think the R8 is
big simply to differentiate it from the M, rather than any functional
reason.

But the new ones are expensive (I only broke the $1200 barrier for a
camera body last year, with the purchase of a new M6--and I've owned 4
Hasselblads, a Rollei, and 6 Leicas), and I found the OM-1 real
uncomfy--too many sharp edges.
