I use a Japanese hammer whose design was stolen from the Germans following the end of WWII. I also own a number of fine British examples, whose designs were borrowed without compensation, by some of the most respectable names of the day. The Japanese ripoffs cannot,of course, match the quality of the German originals. But best to leave these oldies to the collector: Today's modern materials result in a dead-blow mallet capable of flattening an R8 without recoil and without marring it's finish! Jeff
