On page 4 of the English edition of "Leica. The Program" it can be read:

"The basic tools for the now emerging photojournalism had been created..."
(they are talking about the 35mm negative and camera).

Yesterday history repeated itself. But not by Leica. This time it was Nikon.
The digital D1 camera will revolutionize the impact and use of handheld
professional digital cameras.
