Subject: [Leica] Re: Aperture Setting on 35/2 ASPH

Hi Leica Users,
I just bought a Leica M6 (0.72x) and a 35 / f2.0 ASPH lens.
Both are in chrome finish. This is my first Leica Camera and
lens.

When I got home, I found that the f number markings on the
aperture ring do align with the marking (little black line on the
lens front element or even the white line on the lens hood when
it is installed) on the lens.

It is off by about one-third of the space between the f stop markings
on the aperture ring.
It is hard to tell at a glance if the lens is set at a "full"
stop number or a half stop in between two "full" stops.

Is this normal for a Leica lens? Please advise.

Thank you.
Henry,.
