<sigh> Leica wouldn't be worth owning were it not for the lenses, though
the rest makes a nifty package. In other words, Leica IS separated from
the electronic cameras by the superb quality of the lenses. An Omega or
Rolex is "just" a watch, as, forfend the thought!, is my trusty
Girard-Perregaux.

Now, how do "watches" distinguish themselves? By the quality of their
timekeeping and, in that regard, a Rollex or Omega or even a GP is so much
of a show-off thing. How do cameras distinguish themselves? By the
quality of the pictures they take. And, in this regard, Leica (and,
arguably, Contax) dominate 35mm in lens quality.

Hence, no parallel.
