Possibly the first two bath developer was designed by Heinrich Stoeckler =
and published in 1938 in Leica News and Technique. It's very easy to =
make and use, the formula is for Bath A : 7.5 grammes Metol, 100 grammes =
Sodium sulphite (anhydrous) Water to 1 litre and for the second Bath B: =
20 grammes of Borax in 1 litre of water. As a starting point develop all =
films regardless of speed for about 4 minutes in both baths ( do not =
rinse inbetween! ). I have used this formula for many years as my =
standard developer with excellent results. And it's cheap!!! There have =
been a few variations - Ansel Adams used his own version and Dalzell of =
San Diego published his version in 'Leica Fotographie' in 1967.
