From the "demo" policy of Leica, one would think the company is in the "used 
car" business.  Isn't this the company that is supposed to be selling high 
quality mechanical and optical goods?  Is anyone aware whether the company 
has tried to sell the "demo" equipment on an "as-is, where-is" basis?

This "used car" policy must rankle the Lecia cheerleaders or do they have a 
special "SPIN" for this one?  

Has anyone heard whether the Consumer Protection Department or Attorney 
General of any state has yet taken note of this policy?
