Lighten up, Mark. Ken was referring to "message filter" feature which is
found in most modern e-mail readers (or since the date spamming became a
common disease on the Internet).
The term "filter" has been coined for sometime now. A filter would
automatically distributes, or filters, incoming e-mails by subject or sender
into specific folders ("Trash" can be one). You can consider it as a tools
to combat bad "netiquette".

I find any discussion of the filtering of human beings beyond simple bad
taste and incivility. There is no precedent for it in our modern
culture. New etiquette books will have to be written.
