Two- Take the suggestion about more memory. I have 64meg, and use a 1gig hard drive as my 'vitrual' memory, but wiuld like to get at least 512meg since I have started doing graphics. When I had a 66mHz pentium and went from 32 to 64 meg, the increase in system speed was surprising! When I went to 200mHz and kept the 64meg-- the increase was disappointing. With memory so cheap now, the best way to speed up and insure the system stability is to put as much memory into it as you can.... Remember the old saying, you can never be too thin, too rich or have too much memory! Dan - -----Original Message----- From: R. I use 128 M ram and don't have any problems with Powerpoint or any other graphics-intensive software. You might try increasing the virtual memory allotment on the hard drive.
