(why else a black pre-M4).....here's a thought Buy a mint or mint- M2 or M3....it'd be cheap, around 1K....remove all the 'metalwork'....have it de-plated....paint the top flat black or OD green, and paint all the levers bright orange....re-cover the body with an animal product (skin, fur, etc) of your choice....find someone who makes rattlesnake guitar straps (easy in Texas) and have a coupla straps made with split rings.....now THAT'll draw the attention of your fellow Leicapaths....after all, they're the only ones who'd notice a black M2, and they could mistake if for a lowly M4-2 if you're not careful.....unlike Leica folks, normal people won't give a black, $4000 M3 a second glance....but they damn sure would notice your 'modified' one....and ask you about it.. then you could tell them all about Leica...:) :) :)....be careful, tho....they'll suggest medications for your "depression", as recently happened to me:) :) :) Walt On Tue, 06 Apr 1999 10:31:31 +0200 Martin Howard <marho@ikp.liu.se> wrote: > > > Maurice_Hamoy%STORACTIVE@storactive.com wrote: > > > > What's the coolest pre M4 black body M camera?
