This comment puzzled me. No less an esteemed authority than Popular
Photography magazine (:-) noted that the trigger to shutter release time
for the R8 was unusually short. Other than a ker-chunk sound when
shooting with the camera, I haven't noticed anything unusual regarding a
"delay." 

Who's right?
