Subject: [Leica] Leica universal polarizing filter M - # 13356

Last weekend I saw the above item at an official Leica stockist which came
with 39mm and 46mm [or 49mm] rings which screwed into the front of the lens.
The swing out polarizing filter device clamps onto the flange of the ring.

My old [~1972 vintage] 50mm / f1.4 Summilux M lens take a 42mm filter. The
store manager did not know whether Leitz made or makes a 42mm ring which
would accept the swing out polarizer and suggested that I might be able to
find a skilled machinist / tool and die maker who could make one for me.

Does anyone know if there is an original 42mm ring or whether the 39mm and
46/49mm rings were the only two originals provided.

Thanks
