The word is tall. :-)

No, there is a unique quality to old growth forests in the Western U. S. 
that are gone in Europe. Even in the eastern U.S. It's different. Not 
necessarily better in any way that can be described other than to see it. 
The wide open spaces exist nowhere else on earth like the Western U.S. and 
Canada. What is unique out there is what Adams and others have captured so 
well. Few New Yorkers seem to grasp it, let alone folks from elsewhere. ;-)
