Subject: RE: [Leica] Rangefinder/Superwide lens + Question

I do not use the separate viewfinder for my 21 mm lens; it try to keep my
equipment down to the barest minimum and to save a buck if I can.

I have two grey self adhesive tapes, approx 1/4 inch wide, attached to the
top of my M6 indicating the angle covered by the lens. Sometimes I just put
out my arms at 90° to approximate what will be in the picture. 90° is
really simple to do, but if you are not sure, just back up into the corner
of a room and stretch your arms along the walls. And if you want to be
absolutely exact about what will be on the negative, then remember that two
50 mm frames equal one 21mm frame.

The top and bottom limits are more difficult to make out without the
special viewfinder. However, the long side of the 35 mm limits are a good
approximation for the short side of the 21mm

Can somebody tell me if the coverage specified for the lenses (e.g. 92° for
21 mm) refers to the diagonal or to the coverage from straight left to
straigt right?
