under you can then adjust the shutter, but if you do, you'd better be sure
to set it back on a click stop before taking another meter

No, there haven't:  the posts have been consistent.  The M6 DOES allow
intermediate speeds (the shutter mechanism is fundamentally identical to
that used in the M3), but the intermediate speeds do not allow accurate
metering.
