[Leica] photgraphy -Reply

There was an interesting exhibition at the Byron Mapp gallery in Sydney
of black and white photographs using old 120 cameras from the 50s and
earlier taken by a modern photographer, then printed on fibre using a
decent enlarger.

They were images of beach scenes.

Not all of the photographs worked, but some had an interesting quality to
them - soft focused (in some cases with a relatively sharp zone of focus
at the centre) and often vignetted.

Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the photographer for the life
of me.

Quite a number of years ago during a Photography class we were given
an
assignment.  We were told to borrow a BOX CAMERA and shoot a roll,
then
present our work to the class.  The results were surprising.
	How about it, you LUGGERS?  Are you able to create quality
work with
rudimentary equipment, or are you too deeply welded into the Leica M's
and
R's and the high quality Leica lenses.  This is where they separate the
men
from the boys.
