On another note, I have the Vuesmart software (version 1.2). I have a hard
time
seeing any quality difference in the slide scans, and none whatsoever in
negative scans, compared to the normal HP software. And I find the lack of a
preview function really annoying. Have they fixed this yet?

Hi, Nathan - If there is a preview function, I haven't found it...But I have
found that I'm getting better quality scans using Vuesmart....What I also
find helpful using it is that it scans in the entire strip as negs, and I
can then work with the whole strip or individual negs, and keep them in
various forms...
