Paint Shop Pro 5.01, evaluation copy, can be downloaded for free but has a 30 day expiry. Go to: www.jasc.com for the download. jh I've lost touch with the Mac over the years, but there used to be a wonderful free package called 'Image' [greyscale only] which originated as an image analysis tool [for scientific type uses] and then grew. Again Shareware.com...Didn't the scanner come with a limited version of PhotoShop? Hope you find something Leopold - -----Original Message----- From: drbledsoe [SMTP:drbledsoe@yahoo.com] Sent: Thursday, March 11, 1999 2:43 PM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: [Leica] Image Editing Software Help This may have been discussed here many times before. Unfortunately I never gave it much attention since it was not applicable to me. Can anyone recommend something good in image editing software? Hopefully something other than the $600 plus Adobe Photoshop. I just bought a film scanner so am brand new to digitizing and manipulating images and don't know if I could benefit from all the features of Adobe in the foreseeable future. Any help/suggestions are appreciated. Don _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com
