For the PC: PaintShop Pro 5, available at: http://www.jasc.com/ For the MAC, Graphic Converter 3.3.1, available at: http://www.agro.ucl.ac.be/biom-pub/www/pub/resour/downl/graph/Mac/Graphicconver ter_fat.sit the latest version, 3.6 is available at: http://www.lemkesoft.de but the site is very slow today ( ???). There are many excellent "professional" software packages but they can be so heavy that someone who is trying his hand at that for a first time could easily get turned off. If you intend to get involved heavily, it's another matter. The above two are definitively stamped with excellence and both enjoy wide spread acceptance. They often can be found on computer magazines' CD-ROMs too. Have fun ! Andre Jean Quintal - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "Only when it's dark enough can you see the stars."
