Is this kind of comment necessary? Or beneficial in any way? Is it not possible to appreciate Leica without indulging in absurdly hyperbolic trashing of other brands? Vivitar, Tamron and the cheap-ass, entry-level Nikons are not exactly high quality optics. You could probably get better picture with a cleaned-out Pepsi bottle than many Vivitar lenses...
