Subject: [Leica] "Editorial usage"

From the discussions on here, I've learnt that in the US (perhaps all
of North America) you're required to have a "model release" for pictures
of people that are not for "editorial usage".

Could someone please explain the phrase "editorial usage"? What does
this cover?
