Still, I prefer my 105/5.6 El-Nikkor. For a long time I used the 80/4 APO for 2 1/4 square and the 105/5.6 for 6X7. I now use the 105/5.6 El-Nikkor for all MF. Both lenses reach optimum performance closed down one stop. That's where I normally use them. I have a 50 Focotar and normally use that at F8. As you probably know, diffraction degrades performance at smaller apertures. Dave
