Subject: [Leica] Tamron Adaptall mounts (Nikon Crash)

 Dear Gary;
    I have owned about 5 different adaptall lens that I use on R
camera's. I had a local technician make a stiff spring shaped like a
backwards "P". This kept the mount from unfastening under normal use.
And you can just pull it out with a pair of needle nosed pliers if you
ever need to change the mount. With the heavier lenses like the 300F2.8
and 80-200 F 2.8 I will only use a new adapter, I have seen used ones
that had some play in them. Also as a caveat, Tampon made 2 different
adapters for Leica SLR's, one was made specifically for the SL and the
current one is for R system.

Sorry about your damage maybe this info will help someone else.

HTH
John
