I just received issue 1/99 in my mailbox and am aghast at the boredom I experienced as I looked through it. I have issues going back to the 50s and the recent ones have a serious lack of interesting text, in addition to other things. In the old days there were very interesting essays on equipment, darkroom work, and shooting technique; now, the mag is used only to hype new lenses and bodies with oodles of hyperbole. Ugh!
