Hi Bob,

the difference is easy to tell. Mr is a little bit less accurate then
the Mr4 and the MR4 is better made. BUT:::: Not every MR is a MR. The
first MR4 have still on the nameplate the sign of MR. The difference is
easy to see. The switch of the MR was on the left side of the body.
looking like a litte nailtop. The pin if this switch goes in a
rectangular angle into the body of the MR. The switch of the MR4, even
when its written MR on it, is in the left side, ībut on top of the light
meter and is big enough to use it confortable with the finger. You push
it to the right and the measurement starts, you release it and the
needle is fixed on the measurement position. The switch is the visual
difference between the MR and MR4.
