Not so fast Dan. According to the Leica literature ALL SL, SL2, and R cameras REQUIRE circular polarizer. The quickest reference is Gunter Osterloh's book "Applied Leica Technique" page 195. All of these cameras, according to Gunter, contain a "beam splitter" which mandates circular polarizer use. Jim
